TRANSFORMATION:

A Bronze Sculpture Exhibition

CURATED BY JUNE  LACOMBE SCULPTURE

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
June 6 through October 14, 2018

Three large bronzes by Mark Pettegrow are now on view at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. The sculptures — Crest, Gyre, and Arabesque — are sited in the gardens surrounding the Great Lawn in this elegant group exhibition by regional artists whose works relate to the mission of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. The exhibition focuses on the bronze casting process that can transform a sculpture in wood, clay or wax into a unique, durable piece suitable for the outdoors no matter the season.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens comprises 295 acres of tidal shoreland. As you tour the gardens you will see — in addition to this special exhibition — many works of sculpture that are part of their permanent collection.
